Electronic Waste and Computer Recycling
Envoironmentally Friendly
We specialise in environmentally friendly electronic waste (e-waste) and computer recycling, recycling of office equipment, telecommunications equipment and all types of electronic equipment.s
Electronic Waste or otherwise reffered to as e-waste includes not only desktop computers but also notebooks, monitors, printers, scanners, cellular phones, faxes, copiers, telecommunications equipment, or any other device that contains electronic circuitry. Computers make up the largest single segment.
Our environmentally sound process achieves up to 98% recovery by weight and is made up of three tiers:
- The first tier collects the product on a local basis.
- The second tier begins the actual tear down process.
- The third tier are refineries that specialize in base material recapture.
First tier
Once you have booked the pick up Equipment are collected from your location by our professional staff and taken to our sorting facilities. A batch number is allocated for tracking purposes and the total number of equipment and total weight is recorded.
Second Tier
Each Batch is processed seperately. Disk overwriting to protect confidential information is performed using utilities that securely overwrite information over the hard drive, destroy all partitions, and unused disk space to ensure that all hard drives have been successfully "wiped" in accordance with our strict data security standards. If you have chosen the physical Destruction of hard drives, hard drives are removed and physically destroyed.
All equipment are stripped of all identification tags, names, property tags or any symbols identifying the unit to the original owner.
Working and/or repairable equipment are seperated and refurbished to provide low cost computers to disadvantaged members of the community. Non working equipment are manually striped down and components are seperated and sorted for resource recovery.
Third Tier
Sorted materials are sent to refineries for reclamation of materials and resources.
Steel casings and metal components are recycled locally as scrap metal.
Circuit boards are sent to approved refineries for precious metals recovery, in strict compliance with local, federal and internatioal laws governing the disposal and movement of electronic waste.
Cables are granulated and copper is recovered.
Plastics, are remanufactured into useful green products.
