Our Primary Concern
With Ewaste Recyclers, you can rest assured that the security of your data is our primary concern. Whether it be hard disks or floppy disks, CDs or video/Dat tapes, every single piece of data that comes into our warehouse is destroyed completely and beyond recovery.
Complete and Total Destruction
Despite appearances, when you delete a file using the Delete key or command under the File menu, you're not actually erasing it from your computer's hard drive. You're only removing the 'flag' that tells your operating system where that particular file lives on your hard drive.Deleted files remain on a section of your hard drive where you and your operating system won't 'see' them.
When your computer's operating system needs more space, it will overwrite them, but even then, someone with the right know-how may be able to retrieve them. Even when you reformat the computer's hard drive specialists using recovery tools may still be able to retrieve some information from a reformatted drive.
While software solutions may stop the restoration of full files, sometimes what a person needs to find can be found in a few kilobytes of data.. 'Wiping' the Hard Drive with any kind of software allows the chance for human errors along with the ability to still look at the disks and gather some information. Today's data recovery techniques are becoming so much more sophisticated that the only guaranteed way of disposing all of the confidential information on your Hard Drive is by shredding and destroying for complete and total destruction. .
